Overview
The Huayu hybrid inverter HYH-12K-NA with nominal AC output power 12kW can work with a battery bank as backup power to make the best use of time-of-use policy or to keep a continuous power supply in case of grid outage or poor wind turbine/diesel generator performance, which may help end users maximize self-consumption and enhance energy independence.
Work Patterns
With an intelligent control of the flow of energy, the HYH-12K-NA hybrid inverter is designed to shift the working modes of a smart load system swiftly among on-grid, off-grid and backup pattern, which enables end users to obtain a financially advantageous electricity bill and stable power supply thanks to its capabilities of zero export, peak shaving and UPS.
Backup Power
HYH-12K-NA is compatible with 48Vdc low voltage Li-Ion or Lead Acid battery bank(battery voltage range 40-60Vdc). Backup power capacity is a maximum of 12000 watts and it takes a seamless switchover(UPS)within 10ms upon a grid outage.
Safety
The inverter integrates both ground fault protection and arc fault protection(AFCI).
Parallel Extension
A Huayu energy storage system can support both single phase and three phase parallel configuration with a maximum of 10 units of HYH-12K-NA inverters for either hybrid or AC-coupled applications.
Smart Monitoring
The Huayu Portal smart monitoring platform provides real-time operating status and historical data including general data of solar power generation, discharge backup power, load consumption and electricity feed into the grid.

Q: If the inverter can work in pure off grid application?
A: Yes, this inverter support pure off grid running for islands.
Q: If the inverter can work in three phase system or three phase mete?
A: Yes, the inverter can work with three phase meter and will get power for the other two phases and give compensate to the other two phases. For example: Phase A Load: 500W, Phase B Load: 600W, Phase C Load: 700W, then inverter will output 500+600+700=1800W in phase A. In some countries, the export power of phase A will compensate the cost of phase B and phase C, so please contact the power company before install a three phase meter.
Q: How can I keep battery capacity when there is grid in case of load shedding?
A: You can enable charge priority in the monitoring system and then the solar will used to charge battery first, the battery will not discharge until load shedding, this function is usable for the area where always has load shedding.
Q: Can I control the generator by the inverter?
A: Yes, a external control box (please check with your installer or distributor if you need it) is needed, and your generator should support external control function. The generator will be automatically started when battery voltage is lower than the cut-off value or there is charge request or stop charge flag is set.
Q: Why can’t I monitor the each units although I set the right password and add all data loggers in the monitoring system?
A: Please check
(1) CAN cable connection is connected to the right COM port,
(2) If you have make the parallel communication cable yourself, please make sure you have make the right cable, otherwise, it will interrupt the Wi-Fi communication.
Q: How can I monitor and configure the inverter when the network is not available at site ?
A: You can monitor and configure the inverter by local connection that is available in the Huayu Portal APP.
