Q: What type of cell inside the battery?
A: he battery use advanced LiFePO4 cell in prismatic. It can store 200Ah energy, and work as a perfect energy storage, backup power solution for any 12V off-grid solar system with daily cycling.
Q: How to activate this lithium battery?
A: Before using the 200ah battery for the first time, please activate the battery with a charge/discharge current greater than 1A and measure the terminal voltage to validate. Prior to long periods of storage, please disconnect the battery from the system. The lithium phosphate battery will enter shelf mode automatically after 24 hours. In shelf mode, the battery has a low self-discharge rate and can hold the charge for a longer period of time.
Q: How long will this LiFePO4 battery (12V 200Ah) last?
A: This battery is capable of over 2000 cycles @ 0.2C of perfect charge and discharge, after which the efficiency of the battery will drop to the factory performance. It means the battery cannot be recharged to more than 80% of the original capacity anymore, but it is still good enough for regular use, such as use as a lithium RV battery, charge the 200Ah battery to 80% will still provide you the power to support your daily need.
Q: How to connect multiple batteries in parallel?
A: Before you connect multiple batteries in parallel, please keep the length of all cables consistent (from the positive end to the negative end). Battery cables (sold separately) should be appropriately sized to handle the expected load. Keep the connection tight by using the appropriate number of washers to allow for as much as possible thread engagement between the terminal, cable lugs, and busbars, without bottoming out the terminal bolt. And it is best to use flexible busbars or dedicated cables to connect batteries together.
Note: NO connect batteries in series.
Q: How many the batteries can be connected in parallel at most?
A: We recommend a maximum of 8 batteries in parallel, and our automatic battery balancing system allows you to achieve parallel safely. But please use batteries of the same chemistries, voltage and capacity for parallel expansion.
Q: How to keep this LiFePO4 battery battery healthy at low temperatures?
A: This LiFePO4 battery will not charge and enters a low-temperature protection stage if the charging environment is below 0°C. Safe charging requires battery temperatures between 0°C and 55°C. Or you can buy the battery with a self-heating function if you want to use below 0°C.
Q: What should I do if my LiFePO4 battery (12V 200Ah) shuts off due to a low state of charge(SoC)?
A: The ideal condition is to keep the SOC status of LiFePO4 battery at the central SOC level (50%), the charging tends will become slower outside the range of 20-80%. Keeping the SOC of LiFePO4 battery at an appropriate level will protect the batteries’ internal ambiance and prolong the service life. Please disconnect the 12V 200Ah battery from loads and charge it as soon as possible if you found your battery shut off due to the low SoC status, in order to avoid possible irreversible damage caused to your battery.
